Tahoma 31 is chosen for Colorado drought and cold tolerance, but no cultivar rewrites the underlying water-budget decision: exposure, expected use, and what the supply can sustain still set the final footprint.

Once it is down, the first priority is firm soil contact and establishment watering measured against the well's tested output, never an assumed unlimited supply.
