Learning to Design Landscapes

I later moved into landscape design, working with homeowners to plan outdoor spaces around appearance, functionality, drainage, maintenance, and budget. That experience reinforced an important principle: a successful landscape is not simply a collection of individual features. Patios, retaining walls, lawns, planting areas, irrigation, lighting, walkways, and outdoor living spaces must be designed to function together.

Building Business Systems That Scale

During my time with Rocky Mountain Precision Services, I also developed internal office organization systems as the company grew to approximately $6.5 million in annual revenue. That experience gave me a detailed understanding of the planning, communication, documentation, and operational coordination required to manage complex landscaping projects at scale.

Faith-Driven Leadership

My Christian faith influences how I approach leadership, responsibility, and customer relationships. I also completed a two-year, unaccredited Christian Leadership program. I believe customers should be treated honestly, communication should be direct, and commitments should be taken seriously.

Landscape Design and Construction in One Plan

A custom landscape may combine structures, surfaces, water systems, living material, lighting, and boundaries. Planning those elements together helps each part connect visually and functionally while putting excavation, base work, underground systems, and finish work in the right order.

Projects can involve a complete yard or a focused improvement. In either case, the work should account for the surrounding landscape and the conditions that affect it.
