A turf lawn is only as good as what is underneath it. This is the eight-stage system behind every installation.
We begin by removing 4 to 6 inches of soil and organic matter to create a clean, stable base for your turf system. This ensures proper drainage, weed prevention, and long-term durability.
Once excavated, we compact the bare earth using a plate compactor. This stabilizes the area and prevents future settling, which is critical for maintaining a level surface over time.
We install 4 inches of open-graded angular gravel over a geotextile barrier. This base supports drainage and provides a rock-solid foundation that won’t shift or sag.
We allow the rolled turf to sit out and absorb heat from the sun. This softens the backing and eliminates wrinkles, making the turf easier to work with during installation.
A thin layer of finely crushed material, often called refines, is compacted over the gravel to create a smooth, uniform surface for the turf to rest on.
Turf is rolled out over the base, cut to fit the layout, and carefully adjusted to ensure proper grain direction and seamless transitions.
Using a nail gun and air compressor, we secure the turf to the perimeter edging. This prevents movement and keeps your lawn tight and clean over time.
We spread approximately 2 lbs per square foot of antimicrobial emerald green infill. This supports the blades, adds weight, and prevents odors, which is especially important for pet owners.
